Cardinals up 2-0, but can’t let Dodgers back in it as series shifts to Los Angeles

The Cardinals have only scored four runs in the first two games of this NLCS as this series heads into Los Angeles for a possible three more games.

The St. Louis offense was dominated by Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw, yet the Cardinals are somehow up 2-0 in this series. The Cardinals four runs in this series were scored by all three RBIs in Game 1 in 13 innings by Carlos Beltran and a lone sac fly by David Freese in the Bottom of the 5th in Game 2.

With Adam Wainwright taking the hill in Game 3 tonight, the Cardinals seem to be in perfect position to take a commanding 3-0 series lead as the Dodgers will turn to Hyun-Jin Ryu. Wainwright, coming off his complete game 6-1 victory in Game 5 of the NLDS over the Pirates is now 4-0 in six start (15 games in his postseason…
